What
is U.S Cablecasters?
It's your ticket to being on television in a way never before
possible. From airing an infomercial to selling products or
services, to airing a pay per view event on whatever scale you need
(local, regional, national), now you can air your program for as
little as $10 per half hour. U.S Cablecasters is part of cable
television deregulation and here's what it means to you as an
advertiser:
-
The biggest reason to use U.S Cablecasters is the fact that you
can buy an entire half-hour program for about the price of a
thirty-second spot! It's the best-kept secret in the world of
advertising, and we'll show you how to get it!
-
You'll be able to air programming virtually without censorship.
U.S Cablecasters has the perfect means to start a direct response
marketing program, even in markets where the cable system won't
sell you advertising time for competitive reasons, and especially
in markets where advertising on TV would otherwise be too
expensive!!
-
It's available part-time (from one half-hour up) or full-time. So
if you want to own an entire channel it is possible. You can also
use it for pay-per-view events!
-
You can lock in your position once you have become clients, so you
can promote your infomercial show with your other advertising
(i.e. see us on channel 2 at 6PM tonight!)
Advertising on cable television is a unique and effective way to
inform, motivate and persuade audiences about your business, product
or service. It can take many forms: from traditional 30-second
commercials, to longer-form advertising, to special photo-based ad
channels. Whatever form it takes, cable TV advertising offers
several key benefits:
What
channel would my program air on?
It
varies from cable system to cable system, but channel position is
much less a factor than you might think. In a universe of 200
channel cable systems, there's a lot of "channel surfing" (BBDO
found the average Male viewer changes the channel every 17
seconds!); if you're airing a :30 spot you're not getting the
audience you're paying for anyway (they're off surfing), if you're
running a half-hour infomercial this audience may just land on your
show. You create your own audience with the content of your program;
today's viewer is constantly looking for content that is OF GREATER
INTEREST! So whether your program airs on channel 2 or 200, U.S
Cablecasters is a valuable delivery system into thousands or
millions of households. Bottom line; it pays off!
Can I air my regular: 30 spot?
Sure, you could, however we don't recommend it. The minimum U.S
Cablecasters purchase is 30 minutes so your spot might get a little
burned-out. A better use of U.S Cablecasters would be to, produce a
30 minute show with a lot of detail about your product or service,
testimonials from users, etc. However if you don't have a budget for
this, we recommend producing a 2-3 minute piece and looping that
into a 30 minute window. If you want to save money on airing your
:30 or :60 spot, or make your television campaign more effective, we
have other creative ways of helping you, so feel free to email us at
info@uscabletv.com for more!
Can I air on several cable
systems or just one?
Your program can air on as many cable systems as you like. In fact
you could start airing Nationwide if you wanted and had the capital.
What does it cost to produce a
half-hour show?
A survey conducted by Response TV magazine reflected the low-end for
a half-hour is around $100,000, but this is using Hollywood
standards. Depending on how the piece is done (film vs. videotape,
number of locations, etc.) a half-hour can be produced for as little
as $5,000. And if you wanted to produce a 2 or 3 minute piece and
loop it, production costs aren't a huge factor.
Can foreigners or foreign companies purchase with U.S Cablecasters?
Sure. There are no residency restrictions. U.S Cablecasters is a
great way to enter the U.S. market for
a
direct sales product.
What is "Direct Response" or
"Direct Response Marketing"?
Direct Response is differentiated from traditional advertising by
the fact that the value of the advertisement is measured solely by
the results the ad immediately brings, rather than building "image"
or "brand awareness" as in traditional advertising. Have you ever
viewed a television commercial and afterward wondered what the
advertiser was advertising, or what the advertiser wanted you to do
by viewing the ad? This type of advertising is an "image" ad; very
hard to quantify for results. Contrast this with an infomercial,
which frequently summarizes the strengths or benefits of the
products, offers a price, and gives viewers a specific offer and
means to order. This "call to action" is the hallmark of a direct
response TV advertisement, and this type of advertising is what we
specialize in producing.
When
does my program air?
Depending on the cable system and the level of demand, your show can
air during prime-time, on weekends, pretty much wherever your budget
will allow. And it's a fixed-position once you a client, so you'll
know when your program is airing and you will be able to promote it.
